Masala Biryani

Ingredients:

  • Rice
  • Water
  • 1 Potato
  • 4 Onions
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1Tbsp Til
  • 5-6 Cloves
  • 3 Cardamoms
  • 3 Tbsp Ghee
  • 1 Tsp Saunf
  • Salt To Taste
  • 1 Inch Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Saffron
  • Chopped Coriander
  • 1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1Tbsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 Tbsp Garam Masala
  • 1 Tbsp Biryani Masala
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Dry Coconut Grated
  • 10 Almonds chopped roughly

Method:

  1. Wash Rice and keep it in water,
  2. Cut Onion & Potato roughly ,
  3. Now, Take Ghee in the pressure cooker,
  4. When heated, add cumin seeds, clove, tej patta , Cinnamon, Ginger Paste,  and stir,
  5. Now add Onions, Potato, Coriander Powder, Red Chili Powder, Garam Masala, Turmeric Powder, Til, Saunf, saffron, cardamom, biryani masala, half of the almonds & Dry Coconut,
  6. Now stir and mix everything together,
  7. Add rice and water over it, mix well,
  8. Now add salt to taste, mix and cover the lid of the pressure cooker,
  9. Cook it for 3 to 4 whistles,
  10. Let the cooker cool and then remove rice in a bowl and garnish it with tomato, onion,Coriander, til, black pepper powder & almond,
  11. Now serve with chilled onion and tomato raita.
