Masaledar Matar

Ingredients:

  • 1 onion
  • 4 tsp of oil
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 small peice of ginger
  • 500 grams of ground green peas

Method:

  1. Chop the onions, garlic and ginger,
  2. grind half of the green peas and boil other half portion of whole peas,
  3. In a pan put oil and fry ginger, garlic & onion till onion changes colour,
  4. Now add the peas paste to the oil. Fry for 10 minutes,
  5. Then add tomatoes, salt, garam masala and boiled whole peas,
  6. Stir for 10 minutes. Add water and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve with hot with Roti or Rice.
