Gujarati Sweet Kadhi


  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 Green chili
  • Salt To Taste
  • 2 Cup Yogurt
  • 4 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Besan
  • 5 Curry Leaves
  • ¼ Tsp Asofetida
  • ¼ Tsp cumin seeds
  • ¼ Tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 Tsp chopped ginger


  1. Mix yogurt, besan, salt & sugar in a thick bottom bowl and grind it using hand grinder
  2. Then add ginger and curry leaves and green chili to it
  3. Then put it on gas on high flame for 3 min
  4. Now take a small bowl , put ghee in it and let it heat, then add cumin seeds, mustard seeds,clove and asafetida in to it
  5. Once it starts spluttering pour it in to the yogurt mixture slowly
  6. Now let it cook for 15 minuits
  7. Once its done, sprinkle chopped coriander over it and serve it hot with khichdi
  8. You can serve it with roti and bhaji too
