Saffron Modak


  • 2 Tsp Gheekesar_modak-800x6001
  • 2 Tbsp Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Water
  • 5 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Bowl Cashew
  • 2 Bowl Almond
  • A Pinch of Saffron
  • Green Food Colour
  • 1/2 Bowl Raw Sugar


  1. Take a small dish in which put 2 drops of water and add saffron to it and keep it aside,
  2. Now Grind Almond, Cashew & sugar separately,
  3. Mix all grounded ingredients together,
  4. Add Ghee and Milk in to it and mix like a dogue,
  5. Now take small portion of the dogue and make a shape of Modak,
  6. Repeat it till the dogue is over,
  7. Then take raw sugar and stick it all over the Modak,
  8. Now take 3 drops of water and add food colour to it and mix with your finger tip and keep it aside,
  9. By now Saffron water also must have become colourful, if not, mix it a bit with your finger tip,
  10. Now take saffron water on your finger and put a drop on the tip of the modak , repeat it on all the modaks ,
  11. Now take the food colour water, take it on your finger and tap on the remaining part of the modak,
  12. Take the modaks in a plate and keep it in fridge for 1 hour.
  13. Now the modaks are ready to eat.
