Dosa Batter


  • Salt
  • 1-1/2 Cup Rice
  • 3/4 Cup Urad Dal
  • 1/2 Cup Thick Poha
  • Tsp Fenugreek Seeds


  1. Soak rice,fenugreek seeds & poha in warm water till 6 to 7 hrs
  2. Also soak daal in warm water for 4 to 5 hrs
  3. Then grind fenugreek, poha and rice mixture in fine paste, do not add too much water for grinding
  4. Now grind urad dal to fine paste do not add too much water for grinding
  5. Mix both the paste and salt together and stir well till 5 min
  6. Then keep this batter over night to get firm
  7. Once you start making dos, mix the batter well for 5 min
  8. You can add little water if the batter is too thick
