Ingredients:
Salt
- 1 Onion
- 5 Tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp Ginger
- 6 Clove Garlic
- 3 Green Chilies
- 2 Bowl Chick Peas
- 1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Tbsp Lime Juice
- 1 Tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1-1/2 Tsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 Tbsp Garam Masala Powder
- 2 Tbsp Everest Chana Masala Powder
- 1 Tsp Aamchur Powder (Sour mango powder)
- 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil/Extra Verging Olive Oil
Method:
- Soak Chick Peas overnight or if you are making it for dinner, Soak it from Morning,
- Boil Chick Peas with little 1/2 Tbsp salt when you want to cook it, and let it cool,
- Chop 2 Tomatoes in small cubes,
- Make Puree of 3 Tomatoes,
- Chop Onion in thin stripes or finely,
- Make paste of Ginger and Garlic,
- Chop thin stripes of Green Chili,
- Chop Coriander finely,
- Now heat oil in a skillet,
- Once heated add Cumin Seeds, once they splutter add Ginger Garlic Paste, mix and let it cook for 5 Seconds,
- Now add Onion with pinch of salt, let it cook for 5 Seconds,
- Add Coriander Powder, Red Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder, Garam Masala, Chana Masalaand Salt to taste, Mix well and let it cook for 10 Seconds,
- Now add Tomato Puree and 1/2 of Chopped Tomatoes, Mix and let it cook till oil separates,
- Drain and add Chick Peas, Green Chilies, Aamchur Powder and Lime Juice, mix well and let it cook,
- Now add Coriander and mix,
- Chole Chana is ready to eat,
- Serve Hot Chole Chana with Roti.
